Xiaomi says the Mi Pad 2 is lighter and thinner than the first-generation Mi Pad, and comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 64GB of internal storage, and a 7.9-inch, 2048 x 1536 resolution screen. Xiaomi did not, however, announce any accessories, such as a keyboard or stylus for use with the Windows 10 version of the tablet, and given the tablet a reversible USB Type-C port, making it one of the few available devices to sport the new connector. It’s 322 grams and 6.95mm thick, which for comparison is slightly thicker and heavier than the 298 gram, 6.1mm thick Apple iPad Mini 4 — the device which Xiaomi is likely targeting with the MiPad 2. The price is a very reasonable $155 respectively.                                                                                                                       Price: $155                                                                                                                                                 VS                                                                                                                                                           Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact                                                                                                                It's a stunningly thin and light, premium Android tablet that gets almost everything right. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact stuffs a heap of power and a good display into an extremely slim, waterproof body. There's no doubt the Z3 Tablet Compact looks great. It's amazingly slim at just 6.4mm and weighs just 270g, While its ability to act as a screen for a PlayStation 4 can be shaky at times, it's a novel feature not found on other Android tablets. The tablet comes with a 8.00-inch display with a resolution of 1920 pixels by 1200 pixels. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM. Get notifications, control your music and more directly from your SmartWear, while life logging everywhere you go. THE BAD Value isn't top-notch when the second-teir iPad mini is so much cheaper, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 offers extra features at the same price. Sony has filled the interface up with so much pre-loaded software that it looks cluttered before you've even downloaded your first app. Opting for a higher resolution display would help it compete against many of its rivals.
THE BOTTOM LINE The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is an attractive and powerful Android tablet which comes with some neat exclusive features The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's wealth of power, its skinny, waterproof body and decent screen make it a good option to consider if you're after a portable tablet. Although its screen resolution doesn't put it over its competitors, its ability to play games from your PS4 -- although not perfect yet -- gives it a unique selling point.                                                             Price:$499
VS                                                                                                                                                         Nexus 9                                                                                                                                                   The Nexus 9 is a bit of a weird one - it's both the replacement for the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10, without really being a sequel to either thanks to the all-new 8.9-inch screen.
For the eagle eyed among you, you may notice it's jumped up a place in our rankings. That's because it can now be picked up for around £210, making it super affordable. It'll likely be replaced in the next month when Google launches a new slate - but for now it's a steal.
It's mimicking the iPad range by going for a 4:3 screen ratio (which means wider viewing for web browsing, but annoying black bars above and below when watching movies) so you've got a wider device that's not quite able to be gripped in one hand.
But that doesn't mean it's not a great tablet, helped by the fact it's made by HTC. The brand has brought over its Boomsound speakers for greater front facing audio, and the screen is certainly high resolution too.     Weight: 425g | Dimensions: 228.2 x 153.7 x 8mm | OS: Android 5.0 | Screen size: 8.9-inch | Resolution: 1536 x 2048 | CPU: Dual-core 2.3 GHz | RAM: 2GB | Storage: 16/32GB | Battery: 6700 mAh | Rear camera: 8MP | Front camera: 1.6MP
